Working constantly isn’t a strategy. It’s a failure of boundaries.

When you don’t set a hard ending time for your workday, work expands to fill every available evening hour, robbing you of recovery time and personal life balance.

Day 20 Micro-Habit: The Hard Off-Switch

  • Choose a firm, fixed end time for your daily work (e.g., 5:30 PM).
  • Create a physical ritual that marks the end of the day (e.g., putting your laptop out of sight, stepping outside for 5 minutes, turning off office lights).
  • Refuse to log back into work channels once that ritual is complete.

Recovery is not a luxury; it is a critical component of high-performance leadership.
